Mancala Board Game Rules: The objective of Mancala is to capture the most seeds or stones from your opponent's side of the board into your own Mancala (or store) by strategically sowing seeds around the board.

Setup: Place the Mancala board horizontally between the two players, with each player facing the long side of the board. Each player controls the six small pits (also known as "houses") closest to them, as well as the Mancala to their right. Place four seeds or stones in each of the twelve small pits at the beginning of the game.

Gameplay: The player who goes first is typically determined by mutual agreement or by chance. On your turn, select one of the small pits on your side of the board that contains seeds. Pick up all the seeds from that pit and distribute them, one by one, counterclockwise into the subsequent pits, including your own Mancala but not your opponent's. If the last seed you drop lands in your Mancala, you get another turn. Continue your turn by selecting another pit with seeds and repeating the process. If the last seed you drop lands in an empty pit on your side of the board, and the opposite pit on your opponent's side contains seeds, you capture those seeds and place them, along with the seed that initiated the capture, into your Mancala. If your last seed lands in your opponent's Mancala, it's your opponent's turn. The game continues until all the pits on one player's side are empty. The remaining seeds on the other player's side are then captured by the player who still has seeds on their side and placed into their Mancala. Count the seeds in each player's Mancala. The player with the most seeds wins the game.

Additional Rules: If a player runs out of seeds on their side of the board, their opponent can continue playing until they also run out of seeds. Some variations of Mancala have special rules regarding the starting and ending moves, as well as how captured seeds are handled.
